Poster Season is Upon Us!

Poster season is certainly upon us and RubinLab members have been busy sharing the results of their investigations with the world.

First Roshan had the opportunity to share the results of his investigation entitled "The Genetic Basis of Tetracycline Resistance in Canine Staphylococcus pseudintermedius" at the StaphPath2017 conference which was held in conjunction with Antimicrobials 2017 in Adelaide, Australia. Joe also had the chance to present some of Beverly Morrison's work to identify antimicrobial resistant organisms in imported reptile and amphibian meat products.

Next, Dongyun, the newest member of the RubinLab made his debut at the Prairie University Biology Symposium held at the University of Saskatchewan. Dongyun presented an overview of the resistance surveillance study targeting imported spices and herbs that he is planning to undertake as part of his graduate studies.

Last but certainly not least, Ruwini presented some really exciting results describing the antimicrobial susceptibility of Brachyspira isolated from pigs in Western Canada, at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine graduate student poster day.

Stay tuned for more exciting news as Rachel prepares her first conference presentation as a graduate student!
